snow leopard photo viral: The photographer who claims to have shot spectacular photos of snow leopards in the Himalayas has admitted that they are composite images.

Kittiya Pawlowski insists to PetaPixel that she did travel to Nepal where she captured photos of snow leopards.

“I did in fact walk 103 miles to take those images,” the photographer says.

Pawlowski claims that she captured the snow leopard outside Gorak Shep in Nepal. “About a one to two hour walk northeastward; however, my images are edited.”

Pawlowski refused PetaPixel’s requests to see the original, unedited images and admitted that the snow leopard photos are a composite made from “two to four images.”

The 24-year-old American photographer is adamant that she hasn’t misled people and believes she owes no one an apology.

Snow panthers, otherwise called Apparitions of the Mountains, are considered among the most slippery creatures on the planet. That they are endemic to the rough and unwelcoming landscape of blanketed mountains in focal Asia and have a timid demeanor makes them extremely uncommon to recognize.

Not many untamed life photographic artists can catch shots of snow panthers and US-based Kittiya Pawlowski is one of them. Pawlowski’s photos, which were first shared on her virtual entertainment accounts, have circulated around the web with distributions like Creature Planet and government associations, like the Consulate of Nepal, resharing them.

The wonderful picture with full moon’s beams thinking about the snow gems has left watchers staggered.

The picture shows a snow panther sitting on a “field of ice zeniths referred to Ghost Rear entryway as” in Khumbu ice sheet in Nepal. Pawlowski has portrayed the animal as “one of the world’s slippery creatures – the snow panther” She likewise expresses that she could catch the picture in the wake of exploring almost 165.7km by walking.

Snow leopards, also known as Ghosts of the Mountains, are considered among the most elusive animals in the world. That they are endemic to the rugged and inhospitable terrain of snowy mountains in central Asia and have a shy disposition makes them very rare to spot.

In a another Instagram post, Pawlowski shared stunning images of the snow leopard in amid Mount Everest and Mount Pumori. In the caption, she said that she was able to capture the wild cat from an altitude of around 18,000 feet in the Gorakshep area near Everest base Camp.

“After backpacking through Earth’s most forbidding terrain, lung-starving altitudes, soaring peaks, and high deserts – this was the most difficult and rewarding set of photos I’ve ever taken,” she wrote.

Along the journey, which she claimed involved trekking 103 miles, camping in the wilderness and waking up at 4 am to climb ever higher into the sunlit upper slopes of some of the world’s tallest mountains, she also had to haul along 25 lbs of camera gear that included a massive 500mm Nikkor lens.

The effort paid off though and she finally found her chance at a series of superb last-minute photos of the elusive leopard.

As one particularly poignant part of her own narrative described, “Squinting through my camera’s telephoto lens, I noticed something in the shadow of Mount Pumori. At first, I thought it was a rock, but it was exactly what I was looking for,”

The entire story and the resulting widely published photos were understandably easy viral material.
